Summary: "Lazy Installers don't want to do that", they'd rather install a battery in an Alfresco BBQ entertaining area. Assuming you can get them to even give you a revised quote.Samik visited my home and was very informative about my options and the timelines that they could deliver and then generated an initial quote immediately, this however is the end of my positive experience. The proposed location for my battery install: In my covered BBQ area right where my BBQs are, oh and I'll need to move a light fixture.I requested a few options, which I was told he would send later that night. I then did my own research and discovered that two alternative installation locations were possible from the manufacturers installation manuals. I decided to ask if these were possible. Samik was not responding.After 2 weeks of repeatedly calling and emailing Samik being promised he would get back to me in the next day or so, I was told that yes, my preferred locationswas possible however I directly quote "Our installers are too lazy and don't want to do it because configuring it that way is harder than a normal job" I propose paying them more, they apparently declined that option as well.Additional chasing of Samik for a revised quote left us agreeing that we could install the Battery on an adjacent wall to the BBQ area using the adjustable feet on the proposed unit. He would send me the quote "tomorrow".Tomorrow comes and I get a call, "Sorry due to our schedule we can no longer deliver your system by the rebate deadline, you should find another installer". I request to speak to his Manager, he says he passes my number along. 2 Weeks have passed and I have heard nothing. Other installers then quoted me for after rebate reductions, totals lower than what Samik had proposed for the same system in my preferred location.I also never received any of those promised revised quotes.

Great! UNTIL he gets your money then becomes an arrogant person.We had a shocking roof leak due to the installers breaking a tile and not reporting/ fixing it.We went through insurance but Sam told us to cancel the claim and he would get it fixed. 1.5 months on and nothing. We have been chasing and chasing it. Non stop. Finally got a call when Sam was so rude. Tried talking down to me (despite me being so kind) then threatened to take my husband to court. Never in my life have I been so disrespected or disappointed by a service. We simply wanted the repairs rectified like we were guranteed. The “builder” they were using told us either 05.01 or 07.01 and would confirm. Here we are 07.01 still no works rectified and now none will be done due to Sam being all tough on the phone.

I kind of thought multiple times before writing this review.First of all,its not about a blame game.The person who i have dealt with was Samik who i want to say was reasonably friendly,courteous & professional.The price was competitive & the job was done in a timely manner.But the problem i feel is the lack of transparency & credibility of information that you been told in the initial stages mostly regarding the savings that you are going to get.But more than 5 months after installing the solar, the total amount i have received from this is less than $50-Can someone really believe this,i seriously can’t.I know,these are the winter months,but this is such a negligible amount which is equivalent to nothing.You get promised so many things including timely follow up’s & energy comparisons-But nothing will happen.And now when i called & enquired regarding this to the Solar Run representative-The explanation is that all the energy companies have significantly cut down the purchase rates for the grid power & the only way i can save some money is through installing a battery which will only cost me around $5000.So my humble recommendation to the people out there would be not to fall in to this what i want to call a Scam.

Thanks to Sam and the team at Solar Run for a total upgrade to our solar system, including battery and heat pump hot water. The equipment was delivered quickly, which in the current market is a pleasant surprise. The installers worked hard to deliver a very neat and thorough job - very professional in all respects. The commissioning was completed promptly too and we are now enjoying the electricity savings.

Warning dont use these guys for your battery install! dishonest and unprofessional installers!firstly they arrived 45mins late without any call or text to tell us.then they had no idea what they were doing and how the battery and inverter will be installed and had to call their boss.then proceeded to spend the next 9 hours on site and didnt even finish the install when they left at 6.45 i guess thats what happens when you have an hour and a half lunch break playing on your laptop while one dissapears during this time.lets talk about the rubbish scattered all over my garage and front yard, boxes piled up in the rain left on the grass,plastic, polystyrene and wire offcuts all over the front of my propertyand multiple broken roof tiles that they deny was them , sam the owner said at 8.30am they sent him photos of the damaged roof tiles “before” they got on the roof but they didnt get on the roof until 3.30 as per my cctv. we also heard some tiles break and pieces fall into the roof but assumed they would replace them. complete lies. they took photos after the damage was done in an attempt to protect themselves.the install is of very poor quality with labels placed on the sub board with incorrect spelling, and a clear pvc pipe cement smeared over the dymo labels that turned these labels black.green texta used to write on the labels instead of a nice clean black sharpie.absolutely no care or quality for the jobthey cut a large hole in the cornice and cut up an AC wall duct and pushed it up to the ceiling in an attempt to cover the hole but it was still visable. they said they will use white silicon to fill the gap i said absolutely not and guess what. when they came back a few days later to complete the install they used white bathroom silicon to close the gaps while i was at work and wife was home. they knew full well i did not want this but they still did it.the owner sam has sent us texts calling us “pushy” and saying we have been unreasonable.after 10hrs of the system being turned on we had connectivity issues and the installer was called back. he attended in the shits and spoke down to my wife. i guess this is how they talk to their women in their country with disrespect. in australia we dont do this.they blame my wifi for the connection issues even though there is absolutely no issue with any other device.dont even bother calling head office they couldnt care less.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor!!!!Please read my review to avoid this serviceHere are few dot points to consolidate my experience.- Excess rubbish was just left on the premises with no communication of clearing- Silicone is used to repair broken tiles (which is not a long term solution). Not even going to the length of supplying a similar color silicone but couldn't even have the decency to tell us they were broken and would have to change them in the near future.- The plumber has provided a very average job of insulating the copper pipe on the hot water unit only to leave one part of the copper exposed.- During installation I noticed his installation team moving the solar panels from inside our garage to the outside of the building, placing them on the gravel/rocks without any protection causing scratching to the sides of the panels. When I approached your team about this issue they said not to worry as it's metal and can't be scratched.- Aside from all that Sam has taken over 3 weeks to install and get the solar approved by a licensed electrician to turn on the solar power.The lack of customer service is astounding
