If your house has issues with shading you might consider panel optimisers. Growatt does not offer optimisers however in many cases using Half-Cell Panels may help address shading without adding significant cost to your system.

Have purchased this it keeps turning off, will not accept in input from any 240v source. sellers just keep blaming the 3 generators are wrong output, but the gensets work on 3 other inverters just not this one , 4 months now I have been chasing them but they just ignore my requests for help. or ask for info when I supplied I get nothing back until I ask and repeatably ask then they just again say its the generator,product useless. will not by from them bugger all customer service
The only thing the inverter consistently does is emit a beeping sound and advise that PV isolation is low
I'm an electrical engineer. I have purchased and installed at east 50 SPF5000ES. I can tell you it's not a good inverter. The problems are quality and the manual is lying about specs to sell more. To deliver the values they promise, the inverter gets easily damaged. Also, the manual isn't originally theirs, there are at least 20 different Chinese manufacturers with the same inverter manual. I'm off with Solis and will let you know what happens.

5kw Inverter has already died after 1 year, its been a month so far and still waiting on a replacement. Growatt service doesn't care and hard to deal with

If you have a complaint, you must call your installer first. Choose a right installer and you should not have any trouble
I contacted customer support, they sent a technician he said it has something to do with the street power. Customer support said because my wifi pw has a gap. I changed the pw. The inverter goes from Red leaf to blank screen then it says connecting ... then makes a big noise. My electricity bill has not reduced. They can easily replaced it. But no they want to save money. Terrible customer service and a terrible unit.

The build quality is very poor, they heat up way to fast, the mppt charge controllers only charge with half the amps it claims to.
I have been using inverters for about 30 years and now I decided to upgrade to solar and bought a 5kva pv Growatt inverter as it was less expensive and seemed to have lots of features. It was a disaster! Everything that could go wrong did. All sorts of error codes coming up one after the other, repeated overload errors without overloading, computer errors and the worst part of it is although it was within warranty they refused to replace and the customer service is the worst I have received. It was taken and returned “fixed” and I was very reluctant to take it back but had no choice, .... within two weeks it had packed up again! I don’t know about the others but the 5 kva is a no go area. Very very unreliable it did not work properly for a single straight seven days. I had to take it down again and I’m now looking to buy a victron inverter which is double the price but worth it for peace of mind. Never again .
Failed within 2 weeks. Now have to wait for a replacement. Very disappointed.
We sell Growatt inverters and wish to report that some of these inverters lasts 6 months and then 'fuse'......and Growatt 'communication' is non existent as to answering any enquiries. We have heard through the 'grape vine' that Growatt says that their 5kW Inverters cannot 'handle' the 'on and off' switching of swimming pool pumps (in ter alia). Emails to Growatt goes /unanswered. Please think twice before you buy Growatt Inverters as their Company does not care to attend to any problems or guarantee's
I will stay away from Growatt, even if that is my last option. Unreliable. Will last 6 weeks to 6 months. We have a return rate of 35%. Very high!!!!
Well I wish now I had the unit that wasn't approved . Can't get the wifi to go it worked once just before dark the unit shut down never again worked. So monitoring is a step ladder and press buttons what .... Then it died GW argued about the conditions to replace it as it was less than a month old and took them another nearly 2 months to approve a warranty replacement last summer. BTW did I mention still no WIFI ;-)
Please do not buy these inverters they are cheap chinese products and when you phone them when they stop working the customer service is non existent not worth my hard earned money Terrible customer service and cheap chinese product DO NOT buy this product
