Pretty disappointed with the installation from Solarun. During consultation, I was told they have in-house installers, but a random company that does the installation. They were not helpful with any of my questions, rather directing me to contact the battery company. They didn’t bother to let me know there would be open holes when removing the old inverter, post-installation I was informed it’s not a sparkie’s job. The new conduit work looks rubbish, and they didn't have proper tools for working. Not even a stud finder to hook the new inverter. I would not recommend this company.Edit: I was wondering why it took Soo long for you to respond may be the money you offered to me to take down the review didn't work..If something is work with the system I will call you and you are legally required to fix it. So don't play that card with me. I hope you will be still in business at that time.

Really happy with the advice and installation. The system integrated with existing panels and Amber Electric.I opted for 16kW Solar (old and new), 48kW Battery. This is sufficient to power the home, fully charge the battery, and EV.

We did some research and asked 3 suppliers for a quote. Two replied and one (Solar Run) came to our home to discuss options and work out where was the best place to put things. We wanted new panels, battery storage, 3-phase power, a generator charge point, an EV charger and the ability to go off the grid completely, if necessary. It turned out the Solar Run quote was cheaper and offered more stuff as well.I have had a bad run with installers who just hit and run, leaving a lot of mess, lousy work and damage behind. So I was there on the day of our install. We seemed to have 2 electricians and 2 or 3 other guys all busy from 6.30 am till about 4 pm. They took all the old panels away and cleaned everything up. Their work was neat and tidy and the build quality of the equipment exceeded my expectations.We then studied the app which provides lots of options. So far we have kept it very simple. At first I freaked out if we had less than 100% of battery storage. We had 3 consecutive wet, cloudy days that week-end and still managed to get to 100% full by night.On a sunny day we are at 100% battery by 8 am.Now I just don't care about electricity (sunny days). On a sunny day we could charge a dead flat EV and still have 100% battery by night. At night we could put 20 kWh into an EV to get going first thing. That would still leave us with more than 20 kWh in the battery at breakfast.The grid can go down and at the same time it is cloudy/raining, we can still get by indefinitely by being careful with consumption. I want to try running an EV before going off the grid.Our system has 14 kW of panels, 48 kWH of battery and an EV charger. So the next car will be an EV which we can use most of the time using our electricity alone.From a financial perspective, we should not have to pay any more power bills, at least for electricity. If we were using 2 EV's then we would probably need the grid, especially in winter and wet weather.Our domestic demands should be provided for 10 to 20 years.Along the way we will also be saving carbon which is easy to forget about.So thank you Solar Run.

Chris and his team new their products and job. A professional experience dealing with them . I would highly recommend this team . They added 4.4 kw to my 5.6 kw panels [ 10 kw ] and new inverter and 16 kw battery . The price was good for the system installed . Don of Caboolture .

Albeit we contacted 4 suppliers, 1 would only quote online (cheapest) , 1 was not well and also quoted over the phone (similar to the online quote) Chris from SolarRun Redland Bay was the first non online person to make contact. We live quite a way from Redland Bay but it was no trouble for Chris to visit. We organised a time and he arrived as agreed. We went through the options agreed the battery location talked about the different brands, warranties, rebates, capacity etc. Chris made the conversation easy and logical for me to understand. His quote was the highest but the level of confidence that SolarRun would manage a seamless process was worth the extra. We went for a 48 kw battery pack and a new 10 kw inverter to replace our existing inverter. As part of the process, once the order is placed and the deposit paid, a liaison is appointed (thank you Jade) to manage the process. Jade made proactive contact at various points and managed the timing for the installation. The installation team (thank you Fourie and the team) arrived as agreed and worked diligently to install the product where we agreed, run the cabling discreetly, check that it works and run through the operation aspects for shut down and start up should that be required.So, from our experience, we are able to highly recommend Chris and his team from SolarRun Redland Bay for their responsiveness, attention to detail, advice, timeliness, on time delivery, accuracy of their invoice, communication, quality of installation and follow up services in relation to our recent transaction. These guys are the real deal. Super professional and knowledgeable on products and Chris gave us pragmatic advice on what suited our needs and did not try to oversell us on extra panels that would have not added any extra power. We vetted over 20 quotes and decided on Solar Run and very happy we did.They installed an additional 6.65kW solar system consisting of 14 x AIKO 475W panels connected to a 10kW Sigenergy inverter and 48kWh battery. We can actually earn money from our set up through using Amber too. Very happy with these guys. Definitely recommend.

I am taking time to write this in the hope that those who comes after me read this and see that it is not a daunting and scary process when you know you are getting the right guys to buy from. What a worthwhile experience. A challenging job as I did not want to compromise my pool solar panels but Solar Run managed to design a solution that now actually delivers exactly what they promised at the outset of our discussions. I appreciate the product knowledge to have been able to put all proposals and costing on the table so I could make an informed and easy to understand decision. At first I thought the savings sounds too good to be true but I can already see it is delivering as expected. I knew from the beginning that the batteries was only coming later but the young lady (Jade) kept is up to date and we never had to ask or wonder what is happening. I am not much of a technology freak and just want technology to deliver what I pay for but I must say, this solution also looks pretty COOL.
