This period lasts between 2 – 7 years on average in Australia depending on your location and the type of system you have. Feed-in tariffs
When your solar panels produce electricity that is not used it gets fed back into the grid. For every kWh of energy your system sends to the grid, your energy provider awards you with a small financial incentive known as a tariff.
