The latest generation of LG panels features:
When considering renewable energy for your home, the LG Neon 2 Panel range are the ultimate choice for those looking for ultra high performance. If cost is your main concern though, be aware that these panels come with a premium price tag.
Solar Run recommends the LG Solar Panels for customers prioritising high efficiency and performance. Plus, they provide a 25 year product warranty!
Like other major Tier 1 panel manufacturers, LG provide a 25 year Performance Warranty. In comparison, other Solar panel manufacturers typically provide a 10 or 12 year warranty.
If you are comparing solar panel prices then you will notice that LG Solar Panels are relatively expensive. However, if you want the most efficient solar power system and want to maximise your return on investment over the 25 year performance warranty of the panel, then LG could be a wise financial decision in the long run.
They also supply a ‘Black’ panel that provides a different ‘look’ to other solar panels. While most people are looking at the return on investment of their solar installation, you might be considering how they will affect the aesthetic of your home. If you are looking for a ‘Black’ panel, then LG Solar Panels have you covered.
Their panels are engineered in South Korea with corporate headquarters and significant manufacturing also in South Korea. They have a local office in every state capital with the exception of Tasmania.
Regarded as one of the top panel manufacturers in the world ranked by performance, they produce Tier 1 panels and part of the large and reputable LG brand.
The fourth generation solar panels benefit from years of LG research. Their solar panels have seen many improvements that really matter, from longer product warranties and higher efficiency to stronger framing, lower long term degradation, excellent corrosion protection, superior low light performance and increased wind loading.
The Neon 2 range, the latest generation of LG Energy’s solar panel products, confirm LG’s place among industry leaders in the renewable energy market. LG has pioneered a new multi-wire technology they refer to as ‘CELLO’ Technology, which stands for “Cell connection with Electrically Low loss, Low stress and Optical absorption enhancement.” This new design replaces the 3 standard busbars with 12 thin wires to enhance power output and reliability. The Neon 2 panels utilise this multi-wire Cello Technology for increased performance.
LG Electronics, Inc. (LG) is a widely diversified global leader and technology innovator in consumer electronics, turning over more than Aus $48 billion in 2010. Unlike some rival panel manufacturers, whose fortunes rise and fall with the ups and downs of the solar industry, LG manufactures leading TVs, home appliances, communication equipment, LED lighting and solar modules.
LG walks the talk regarding environmental leadership. We have set a greenhouse gas reduction goal and established our management system accordingly. For example, in 2010 we cut greenhouse gas emissions from product manufacturing by 160,000 tons compared with 2008 emissions.

Mono Perc Panels are better suited to Australian conditions than a “Poly” Panel because we get very cold temperatures in Winter and very hot temperatures in Summer. If you need a panel that works in the heat of summer and the cold of winter consider any LG Solar panel.
If your house has issues with shading you might consider panel optimisers. Optimisers and Half Cell Panel Technology reduces the impact of shading. LG panels provide some of the best performance but they do not offer a Half Cell Panel option.
This depends on your own energy consumption habits. The way you use your energy in your home will impact the timeline of when these panels will provide a strong return on the investment. However, if you are prioritising affordability over performance then LG Solar Panels may not be for you. Their panels provide higher efficiency and therefore power output over the long term but this comes at a higher cost.
If you want to add a battery to your system then a “Mono” PV module is a very good choice. Thanks to the PV systems high conversion efficiencies these panels are a great choice if you are considering adding energy storage or claiming feed in tariffs. If you want to add a battery then any LG Solar Panel will work well.
While there are no guarantees, LG is regarded as one of the best panel manufacturers in the world and is rated as a Tier 1 company. Their product warranty is better than other leading brands. Their performance warranty is outstanding. All of their panels are clean energy council approved. See LG Solar Warranty for terms.
Fantastic solar panels with high efficiency and power output, but with a price to match.
The cost of these panels will be the main obstacle for customers. However, for those focused on finding a quality product to retain renewable energy for their home, LG Solar Panels are a wise investment. The return on investment for these panels is extremely high, but so too is the upfront cost.
We recommend that anyone considering the investment into renewable energy first check their own energy consumption habits so that we can find the best solution for your needs.
