We just brought a new home, and with the cost of everything getting solar panels / solar system on our home to help with the costs of living was important. I tried using a 3rd party website to get some quotes and one out of three got back to me. We remembered seeing the solar run website and decided to give them a try. We contacted Solar run and Con got back to us almost instantly. We set up a meeting and Con arrived on the exact day and the exact time we had organised. (Tick) he spoke to us about what we were trying to achieve and what we wanted from our solar system. (Tick) We mentioned that we would like a system that would cover most of our power needs and he came back with 4 proposals that would do what we wanted, including different brands.We spoke to Con and suggested the brands based on our research that we would like to go with and Con came back with the quotes/recommendations based on his experience and knowledge based on what we had chosen.Con organised another meeting with us and presented us with 4 different options which were all very straightforward and explained them in detail with us and answered any of our questions. (These meetings weren't 3 hours long maybe 30 minutes to 45 minutes) (Tick) We accepted his quotation which was about thousands of dollars cheaper than the quotes I had been collecting, and Con went and organised all the applications with Solar Victoria and Solar Run which we were happy with.We installed a 10KW system and it covers our needs very well.We are / were very happy with Cons' service and would be happy to recommend Con from Solar Run Wyndham Vale for your installation of Solar Panels / System for your home. Con was very nice to deal with he did what he said he was going to do on time everytime. He did it with professionalism and was very pleasant to deal with, he answered our phone calls and e-Mails very promptly (Tick).Our time is important to us and applying for something important as solar panels for your home is a decent investment for anyone in these times and cost of living isn't getting any easier. Does not honour quotesEverything started out smoothly but when it came time to install that's where things went wrong. On the day Con said they were delayed, then completely rescheduled as they didn't have time which is fine. But then a couple of days later I get an email asking for an extra 25% of the cost!The contract does state there are certain potential additional costs but what they were asking for was not listed. Since it was related to roof access and roof type, these costs should have been accessed 4 weeks earlier and included in the quote. When I questioned this, Con said they were too busy to send someone out to look. Despite this he had visited twice and already had pictures of my roof.Really disappointing and unprofessional.
